Print Your Minecraft Creations!

Do you have an extra special Minecraft structure that you love so much you wish you could pet it in real life? Well, now you can (if you have a 3D printer)! Mineways is a Minecraft program that allows you to use a 3D printer to make your creations a reality.

Here is how it works: the player opens the world to their creation with a map renderer and selects the area that he or she wants to print. There are several tools to customize the view that will be printed. There is also a feature where you can choose how the blocks are going to be represented. There are detailed instructions on how to do this in the middle of the Mineways page. Once this has been done, then simply print out your creation and wait. This can also have functional uses, as a player can split their project in half to see what it looks like inside.

The creator of this program is using it to sell his creations. They are being sold for quite a high price, and it makes one wonder if there is actually money to be made in this venture. The program is open-source (for windows), so it might not be a bad idea for you to start doing this as well. Now just get a 3D printer.

So, what do you think?
