Ghostcraft, A Forgotten Mod

Does anyone remember the Ghostcraft mod? The one that completely overhauls the original Minecraft game it turns it into something equally but awesome? Yeah, neither did I. But we did some research and realized the reason the game has been forgotten is because the community became complacent, entitled, and would spend all their energy noob killing which prevented a steady influx of players. They bad mouthed the admins, complained about every decision that was made, and treated the development team like garbage. Trolls were revered, good players left, and now the community spends their days wallowing in the fact that things are not how they used to be. The server is still up 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it is still operated on top tier hardware. It is up to the players to decide what they want to happen to it, no amount of begging for the old days will bring back admins and developers that stepped away while the trolls took over. If the community decides to make it a better place then those who stepped back are bound to return.

So there is a lesson to be learned here, take heed this hint: Anyone who is thinking about becoming a mod for a server, take heed of the lesson of Ghostcraft.

So, what do you think?
